Business Enterprise Centres (BEC)
BEC's are non-profit community based organizations that provide assistance, education and advice to all phases of small business including: considering owning a small business, starting up, and the many growth phases of your small business.
They provide free and subsidized assistance to small business owners and are often partly funded by state and/or federal governments.
David Chambers was a Director and Chairperson of one of these organizations for ten years and strongly recommends small business takes advantage of their expertise and resources.
There are 20 locally based BEC’s in NSW. BEC Australia is a not-for-profit organization whose primary role is to support and grow the national network of Business Enterprise Centres and provide representation on behalf of its members to key stakeholders.

Support for Small Business
The department proudly supports a wide range of initiatives and detailed information on current government policy, programs and projects in relation to small business.

Small Business Grant from NSW Govt
The grant is designed to encourage the nearly 650,000 small businesses in New South Wales that do not pay payroll tax to hire new employees and expand their business.

Bankruptcy - AFSA
This is a federal government body – AFSA (Australian Financial Security Authority). This body is responsible for the administration and regulation of the personal insolvency system in Australia. Their services include providing free information and advice to people who are considering bankruptcy and also administers an individual’s bankruptcy.
